Since I was a little girl my mom and I have celebrated Valentine's with 14 Days of Love. We would exchange small gifts in little mailboxes leading up to Valentine's Day. We've continued that tradition with the girls and it makes my heart oh so happy. I do buy a few gifts but I also try to make something personal from the girls to my mom to make it extra special. Since we've been doing this for years and years it can be hard to come up with new ideas that I haven't used before. I wanted to share these ideas with you because they are sweet and very simple to do. I had all the supplies at home minus the plate so hopefully you do as well.
My girls would love if we did a project everyday and they would love it even more if it involved paint. Life has me pretty busy so we don't do projects as often as they would like but I do try to fit some in every now and then. However, when we do do projects I usually cringe at the idea of using paint due to the mess and clean up.
I was recently introduced to Workman's Friend Superior Barrier Skin Cream which works like a protective glove and makes clean up a breeze. You apply it like a lotion and it is odorless and not sticky. As a side note, it helps moisturize and hydrate skin. Although that was not my motivation in trying it out for projects, it is an added bonus.

What I found with using Workman's Friend Superior Barrier Skin Cream was that it didn't seem to make a huge difference on the girls hands. However when I used it on their feet I did notice a significant difference with Madi. The foot that I used the cream came much cleaner with very little effort. For these projects we used acrylic paint and I cleaned them up while the paint was still mostly wet. Results may differ if the paint was dry or we we working with other types of materials.
