When I was pregnant with Emily I was over the moon excited to design and decorate her nursery and it was just perfect. Then when I was having another girl I couldn't justify changing the nursery even though by that time I was pretty tired of the decor. When we found out we were pregnant with number three I assumed it was going to be a girl and I kept thinking oh boy 7+ years with this same decor, yuck! So it was yet another reason to be so excited about having a boy! He surely couldn't have a pink room so I started from scratch.
I didn't really have a theme in mind but as I started searching the Internet I kept gravitating towards navy, white and grey colors and farmhouse decor. My best friend Gina offered to help again with the room and she was willing to tackle some pretty big projects. I literally couldn't have done it without her. She refinished the dresser/changing table, constructed the peg board, built the window bench and constructed the barn doors. Talented is an understatement! I think I owe her a million cocktails and dinners! You can contact Gina at Family, Food and Furniture to enlist her help in whatever project you can dream up.
I wanted a simple design for a crib and found this great one from Delta Children. It's the Adley 3-in-1 crib which converts to a toddler and day bed. It's available in white, chocolate or grey and is extremely affordable. I love its simplicity because it makes it so versatile.
I found the adorable bedding from Carousel Designs. If you haven't noticed I'm in love with all things Buffalo Plaid right now. I also love mixing patterns so I've mixed stripes with the plaid. I know I sound like a broken record but having Jackson's name on the sheets makes me giddy because I love all things personalized. A note of caution that the colors from Carousel Designs are slightly muted and not true navy and grey.
We have laminate flooring in our kids room (which is amazing for kids by the way) but it has a stark feeling so a rug is necessary to soften and warm the room. I love the texture of this rug from Lorena Canals. What makes it extra fabulous is that it's machine washable; this is such a treat when it's a child's rug.

I hung signs from Pink Lemon Decor over the crib and they are from my absolute favorite children's story: Love You Forever. These signs melt my heart and just complete the crib.
Where your baby is going to lay their little head for several years needs to be comfortable and safe. Jackson's mattress is from My Green Mattress and is made from natural materials, GOTS Certified organic cotton and Oeko-Tex certified American Eco-wool. The mattress is GREENGUARD Gold certified.
I've shared my love for AR Workshop with you in the past and I'm excited to share with you my project from there now that its found the perfect spot in Jackson's nursery. I'm sure I'll want him to stay little but I'm also excited to watch his growth and capture it on this growth chart.
