Meet:

Please tell us a little bit about your company and how you got started:

I got started with my company when a friend of mine was having a baby and wanted something and I ended up making it for her and my idea for little hunks was born. I wanted to add a girl section because I have a daughter who is almost 2 and I feel its better to have the variety. I am right now doing most of the business from my home. I have a few people that do some things such as helping me make bowties and such but for the most part I still am doing it by myself. My goal is to offer people affordable boutique children's clothing.

What has been your greatest lesson in running your own business?

The greatest lesson I have had in running my own business it time management. I am a full time mother as well as a business owner. This is difficult at time because I'm usually working while taking care of my almost 2 year old who keeps me hopping. I do get an occasional babysitter but mostly I do my business around my daughter and husbands schedule.

What’s your greatest tip for entrepreneurs?

I think my greatest tip is to just go for whatever you want to do. I am learning everyday new things. Its a lot of work but I love being able to spend the time I have with my family while also having income.

What does your normal day look like?

My normal day is busy, I usually try and wake up by around 7 so that I can get some work done without having my daughter around its so much easier to get things done when she is sleeping. I then work on orders, go through emails, work on marketing and try to get as much done as I can. She usually wakes up around 10. We then make her breakfast and spend some quality time together. In the afternoon I usually let her play while I continue working on things. She has quiet time in her room for a hour a day. no naps. then usually I spend more time with her till my husband gets home and then back to work I go. This is when I can get most of my stuff done.

Who inspires you?

I would say that my husband inspires me. He sometimes get the grunt of me after a long day but he is very supportive. It has been a crazy year for us I had some health issues but hes always there cheering me on and keeping me going.
