Whose already preparing for Christmas?!?! I know the retail stores are. It actually makes me a bit sad that Halloween and Thanksgiving get bypassed. The month of October I have my house decorated for Halloween; the month of November has fall decor. Its not until the day after Thanksgiving that I decorate the house for Christmas. With that said I still won't pass up something super cute for the holidays any time of the year. Also even though I'm not decorating for Christmas quite yet I really have my eyes peeled for new decor. I love decorating for the holidays and keeping it fresh each year is always a lot of fun. I am really excited to partner with Brown Eyed Girls Designs because they offer decorative and custom monogrammed pillow covers perfect for holiday decorating. Jeni from Brown Eyed Girls Designs sent me an adorable pillow cover that will be perfect in my home. They are not only great quality but I love pillow covers because you can use the same insert and change as many times as you like without the hassle of storing a million pillows; you only have to store the cover which folds up small. Brown Eyed Girls Designs offers a plethora of options and takes custom orders as well. Some of my favorites are the pillows combos that Jeni offers. Check out her shop to add to your holiday or non-seasonal decor; you won't be disappointed (this is also reflected in her 5 star rating on Etsy).

Please tell us a little bit about yourself:
My favorite role in life is to be a wife and mother. I feel truly blessed to be able to stay at home with our two children. I discovered Etsy through my daughter and well the rest is history!
Please tell us a little bit about your company and how you got started:
During the Christmas holidays one year, I was looking for new pillows to update my living room and when I couldn't find anything I liked, I just decided to make my own. After making pillow covers for my family and friends, I decided to start my own Etsy shop. After lots of help from my daughter, we " 2 brown-eyed girls" created our shop.
What has been your greatest lesson in running your own business?
Communication is the key to success. And of course, kindness truly goes a long way! Always treat your customers the way you would like to be treated.
What’s your greatest tip for entrepreneurs?
Always believe in yourself, appreciate any help or advice from others, and it's never too late to start your own business.
What does your normal day look like?
Kids, sewing, house duties, sewing, carpooling kids, sewing, kids, family....repeat, LOL! I love every minute of everyday!
Who inspires you?
My family and friends. I listen to my kids and sometimes they say funny stuff and I think "that would make a great pillow." When I go into a fabric store it's like a candy store is to kids. It really gets my creative mind to work!
