Madi is 12 months old today! I CAN NOT believe my baby is 1!!! The whole weekend I've been having a hard time thinking about her turning one. I'm not sure why as I didn't feel this way with Emily.
On one hand the year flew and on the other it feels like an eternity ago that we were in the delivery room.
Since Madi started taking steps in April she only was up to 10 steps all together until yesterday. I guess she knew today was the big day and she wanted to be walking by her birthday. She started walking consistently yesterday and for the first time went from a sit to a stand without pulling up on something. She of course is still wobbly but she's working on it.
She's still in 6-9 month clothing and some 9-12 month clothes and size 3 diapers. The schedule is still where she nurses at 7 am, around noon, around 4:30 pm, and gets a bottle at 7 pm. She naps from 9:30-11/12 and 2/3-4:30ish pm.
She's a little porker and loving most foods these days. She feeds herself if it isn't something too messy. You would never know she's a porker because she only weighs 18 pounds, 1 ounce and is 27 and 3/4 inches long. She's a little peanut.
On April 23rd she started waving and on April 24th she got her top left molar which made ten teeth.
We're totally off of acid reflux medicine which is just short of a miracle because as the dosage went down her fussiness went up. Some days recently she would just cry off and on for hours. It's really difficult and sad to see. We're getting a little better each day I think and trying to hang in there.
Madi is such a sweet soul mixed with a lot of drama. She has a huge contagious smile and makes us laugh all the time. She is my snuggle bug and will cuddle with me a little big whereas her big sister never would. I was against rocking a baby to sleep so they wouldn't get addicted to that but lately I just want to rock my baby girl with her head on my shoulder. This last year has been somewhat of a difficult year handling two kids but I know I will look back in 20 years and long for these days.
Wishing my peanut a very happy birthday and looking forward to the blessings ahead of us.
Taking a 12 month photo was impossible. The struggle was REAL....
Me pinning her down because she wouldn't sit at all! |
Seriously?!?! This was the best photo I got. She's climbing and thinks its funny! |
