I finished The Headmaster's Wife last week and wanted to share it. This novel is about Arthur Winthrop a headmaster at an elite boarding school in Vermont. Arthur is found wandering naked in Central Park and upon arrest he begins to tell his story. His memories and truth collide which make the story part mystery. Arthur begins to lust after a student at his school and he becomes obsessed with being with her.
One half of the book is narrated by Arthur and the other narrated by his wife Elizabeth. The change in perspective adds to the mystery and makes it more interesting. When Elizabeth starts narrating the story you learn about her life as a headmaster's wife and about the life leading up to the time Arthur is found in Central Park.
Not one of my favorite reads but I would recommend it still.
